Here's chapter 10. Enjoy!

10
THE NEXT DAY
BULLS'EYE MANOR
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Sanders was downstairs making breakfast. Last night had been confusing for him because he could barely remember what took place there. He looked at the coffee table. Marcia had forgot to take the gun upstairs. If this wasn't enough, Stephen came down, yawning.
"How's it goin'?" he said
"What the heck are you doing here? You're supposed to be at Langley" Dave exclaimed.
"You don't remember? Crawford busted me last night. And I saw herin a cute camisole... Damn, she's hot". Suddenly, Sullivan enters the kitchen.
"Good morning. Who is this?"
"Stephen Levine. My ex-partner" Sanders said. Brian and Stephen shook hands.
"Why are you here, son?"
"I'm here because..." as he was about to explain, Marcia came down with Levine's cell phone in her hands.
"You were actually telling the truth, Stephen. You left this in the restroom, by the way. Desmond McEnroe called and he broke the whole thing to me"
"Can somebody explain to me what happened?"
"I can. Last night, he broke into this house. I caught him and his inside contact confessed. Let's just say I have a great convincing power" Crawford said.
"Can I have a talk with you two?" Brian asked.
"Levine can be in this too. He is trustable. But after breakfast, please"
"Fine. Enjoy" he said and left. Inmediately after that, she threw a look at both men.
"Were you talking about me?"
"No. No, we weren't"
"Don't lie to me"
"Fine. Stephen was praising your looks". Levine gave Dave an angry look.
"Thanks, man... Look, can somebody make me a coffee while I'm in the shower? You know how I like it"
"Sure" Sanders said. Marcia left as both men checked her out.
"Earth to Sanders" Levine said. Dave didn't respond 'cause he was 'taken away' by his 'wife's' looks.
"Look. If I were you, I'd enjoy this to make her fall for you". Dave didn't like the comment and walked away.

SYDNEY GRAND HOTEL
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Luis of Castile had been sent to a diplomatic mission in Australia. His final meeting had been yesterday, so he was just 'chilling' in Sydney. He was used to see strange things in some of his trips, but it was all in the name of peace. He turned on the TV To watch the news as he started out the window.
"When is it going to be the day we see peace in this world?... Everyday we see sick people doing crazy things, and all of this thanks to the yankees" he said and sighed. He looked at his watch. It was around 8:00 AM. Perfect timing for a coffee, he said to himself. He grabbed his coat and left. On his way out, he runs into O'Shea (without knowing he's a terrorist)
"Good morning" Luis said.
"Hi" O'Shea replied. The Castilian took the elevator and left. He has no idea but he's soon going to be involved in the middle of the most dangerous game of his life.

BULLS'EYE MANOR
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Brian, Dave, Stephen and Marcia were gathered in the studio of the house. Today was the day one of their following and Sullivan had to have a conversation with them, and handle them some documents as well.
"Okay. Listen to me" Sullivan said. The three agents sat down.
"As you may be aware, or at least Dave and Marcia are, you are here to follow and stop a terrorist named John O'Shea. Our Intelligence data suggested he was here. O'Shea is one of the leaders of the European Liberation Army, which is behind the embassy crisis, among previous events. I won't mention now.
"Okay, so we know that. What is the job?" Marcia said as she took a sip of coffee.
"I will handle you documents now. Among them you'll find IDs, drivers, licenses, credit cards, passports, checkbooks, etc... If you want to carry your CIA IDs, carry them, but hide them well" he said and took out two large brown envelopes that contained them. Sanders and Crawford recieved them.
"How are we going to establish contact with him?" Levine asked.
"I did some research and he entered the country as Andrew Rodgers, a businessman that has an investment firm. JJ & Lindsay, Dave and Marcia will pose as a couple that have their own investment firm too and are interested in making business with him"
"And where can we find this guy?" Sanders said.
"Before you got here I followed him. He usually goes in the morning to a cafe downtown, stays there for a while and then heads to a building complex where he 'works'. After lunch, which he does every day in a different place, leaves to tour the city and returns to his hotel: THE GRAND. When he goes out at night he frequents bars where he meets with ELA associates. Are we clear?"
"Uh-huh" they replied.
"One thing: You'll be wearing this" he said giving Sanders a pin and Crawford a necklace.
"Are these wires?" she asked.
"Yes. Put them on so I can try them" Sullivan said. They did and their handler replied they were working well.
"Any questions?"
"As far as I'm concerned... no. We're ready to go" Dave said.
"Fine. In the car you'll find a box that contains two earpieces. Put them on 'cause that's the way we'll stay comunicated. Good luck, kids" he said. Dave and Marcia went outside to the car, and she had a flashback of the car bomb.
"Crawford, you're shaking. What's going on?"
"I don't know if Stephen told you, but we were attacked with a car bomb in England"
"No, he didn't. But we'll be fine. I promise" he said, comforting her. He opened her door, put on the earpieces and drove off.

UNITED STATES EMBASSY
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Press and police were outside the embassy, waiting for something to happen. It had been almost a day since Max & Co. took the place and everybody inside it hostage, and he wasn't going to negotiate anything with anyone until he saw his purpose achieved. Max heard one of the officers through a cell phone.
"Listen, we don't have to do this. Let the hostages go and we'll cut a deal for you" the officer said. Max didn't know, but most of the embassy situations in Europe had been finished by the use of force.
"I won't do any kind of deal until I get what I want" Max replied and hung up. Inmediately after that, he aimed his gun at Ambassador Robson.
"You're gonna call your President and tell him that I want him to make a public statement saying that the United States won't interfere in other countries anymore. One wrong word and you're dead. Understood?"
"I won't do it" Robson said, defiant.
"This country doesn't negotiate with terrorists" a staffer added.
"Really?" Max replied. He aimed his gun at Peter (the staffer) and shot him.
"Keep saying no and everyone here will die. Do it!!!!!" he yelled back. Robson grabbed the phone and called the White House.
"This is Ambassador Robson for President Stevenson" he said. The secretary tells him to hold.
"What is it, Bill?"
"Listen to me carefully. I want you to draft a speech in which you say the U.S. will stay out of other countries' issues and broadcast it... or else they'll kill everyone in here" he said. Max took the phone away from him.
"You have 40 minutes or blood will be spilled" he said and hung up. Everybody was scared of Max. He looked at the sky with his gun aimed at Robson. After this, nothing mattered.

THE COFFEE POT
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

It only took Marcia and Dave 10 minutes to get to the coffee shop located in downtown Sydney. They were now watching it from inside their car to check if there was any suspicious movement. Suddenly, they heard a sound on their ears.
"Dave, Marcia. Can you hear me?" Sullivan said.
"Loud and clear, chief" she replied
"Have you figured out a strategy?"
"Yes, Brian, We're outside the coffee shop. Marcia will go in pretending to buy coffee. In the meantime she'll try to spot him. If she does, she'll let me know"
"Okay. Do your thing, Marcy"Sullivan said. Marcia (as Lindsay Scofield) entered the coffee shop under the eye of her co-workers. Inside there was a lot of people, including John O'Shea and Luis of Castile. She approaches the clerk.
"Hi. I'd like an espresso and a large capuccino to go. Just let me know when they're done" she said kindly.
"Sure. What's your name?"
"Lindsay Scofield"
"Okay, Ms Scofield. I'll let you know so you can pick them up" the clerk said. Lindsay/Marcia headed to a table while Sullivan watched from the manor.
"You know how he looks like. Do you see him?"
"Not yet" she said, pretending to use a hands-free cell phone. She sat on the table and grabbed a newspaper.
"Lower the newspaper so we can see" Stephen said. Without a word, she did.
"10 O'clock shadow" she said once she saw O'Shea nearby. Brian cross-referenced it and confirmed the identity.
"Marcy, it's him. Keep an eye out"
"Will do" she said and kept on reading.
"Ms Scofield! Your order is ready!" the clerk yelled. She left the newspaper and headed to the registrer. On the way there, she runs into Luis of Castile and he spills coffee in her clothes.
"Whoa!!!" she screamed.
"I'm so sorry. Let me help you"
"It's alright. I'm fine"
"No. I insist. Let me at least get you some clothes. I'm Luis, by the way"
"Lindsay. And don't worry. I'll take this to the dry cleaner's" she replied. The Castlian gave her a look.
"Are you sure you're okay? You seen worried"
"He's suspecting, Crawford. Take care of it" Sullivan said.
"I told you I'm fine. Just get me out so I can grab a cab"
"Sure" Luis replied. They walked out and once the spanish was off guard and with his back turned to Marcia, she knocked him out with a punch. Sanders pulled over in front of her.
"Help me get him in the back" she said. Sanders grabbed his arms and got him in the car.
"What do we do now?"
"Bring him in to the manor and I'll question him. He's probably working with the ELA" Sullivan said. The two agents quickly sped off in the north direction.

LANGLEY, VIRGINIA
CIA HEADQUATERS

Benson was in his office in the middle of a videoconference with the President and the the secretaries of State and Defense. After consulting with his most trustable advisors, President Stevenson was ready to comunicate his decision to Benson & Co. If this strategy doesn't work then this whole thing goes to hell. Stevenson asked for their silence and the conference began.
"Gentlemen, I made a choice and I wanted to let you know about it"
"What is it?" Benson asked.
"We have come up with a very risky strategy: I'll agree to their demands and I'll proceed with the statement. This will lure the terrorists into the liberation of the hostages. Once that's done we'll wait a few days and we'll take it back"
"Sir, are you aware that this 'strategy' as you call it will not only destroy your presidency, but this country's credibility?" Secretary of State Allen Davenport said.
"It's much better than watch the blood of American citizens spilled... IN OUR SOIL!!!" Stevenson asked.
"Sir, but you know this act will cause a major diplomatic disaster with Europe, and you know that"
"For God's sake, I'm the President of the United States of America. You'll do what I want!!!"
"But, sir. We have absolutely nothing to win and everything to lose" Benson said.
"Sorry, Anthony. I made up my mind" Stevenson replied. He retired from the conference. Benson and the secretaries looked at each other, thinking the President had lost his mind. From outside, Desmond McEnroe overheard the entire conversation and decided to warn the guys at Australia.

BULLS'EYE MANOR
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Sullivan brought the Castilian to one of the guest rooms while Levine and Sanders were watching. Crawford was upstairs changing her clothes. The two men watched the spanish while Sullivan did a background check on him. Brian's face revealed the huge mistake the american agents had done.
"Marcia Alexandra Crawford. Bring that slutty white ass of yours down here right now!!!!!!" Sullivan yelled at the top of his lungs. She came down as fast as she could wearing jeans and a buttoned-down red shirt.
"Don't insult me, Brian. What the heck do you want?"
"Do you have any idea of what you and Sanders just did?"
"No. I'm waiting"
"The guy we have in here is a spanish diplomat named Luis of Castile!!"
"Whoa! Whoa! You told me to 'take care of it' and I did. I'm not a damn mind reader!" she striked back,
"Great. Add problems with the spanish goverment to our post-op list"
"Are you angry at me?!" she screamed. Sullivan got up and accidentaly slapped her.
"Marcy, are you okay?" Sanders asked.
"Yeah. Just bring me some ice and tell Brian to get out. I'll interrogate Luis... GET OUT, BRIAN!!" she yelled. The three men left and Marcia took out smelling salts from a drawer and put them under the Castilian's nose. She stood by his side as he coughed and woke up.
"Relax. You're in no harm" she told him.
"You... you're the girl from the cafe" he said, partially conscious.
"Yes, Mr. Of Castile. I am, but I'm not"
"How do you know my name? Who are you? What's all of this?"
"That's the thing: I kinda lied to you. My name's not Lindsay Scofield. My name's Marcia Crawford and I work for the CIA"
"CIA. What's all of this?"
"Calm down. I don't bite. What happens is that I'm in an undercover assignment trying to hunt a terrorist. I thought you were suspecting of me and I wouldn't let you expose me, so I apologize for any inconvenience caused" she said, remembering what Sullivan said to her in the begining.
"You americans are paranoid. That's why the world is screwed. Let me go" he told her. But before he could get to the door, Marcia stopped him.
"Wait. Listen to what I have to say first: Your country and the rest of the world may think the United States are a bunch of killers that don't mind about anything but themselves. But let me tell you something: Not all of us are alike. There's good americans too. That fight for an ideal. For a better world. The fact that I work for the CIA doesn't make me a bad american. So don't judge us all because of our goverment... You can go if you want now"
"Wait. Marcia, right?"´
"Uh-huh"
"I'm not misjudging you because you work for your goverment. I know there are some americans that are just like you. That fight for an ideal: to stop terrorism in the world. Sorry if I insulted you"
"No. That's okay. But... we're gonna need your help"
"What for?"
"We know your country has been attacked by the European Liberation Army, so you must know something about them"
"Yes. How does that involve me?"
"I, uh... Sorry. We need you on board in this. Isn't that what we all look for? Please, I'm begging you as someone who's been a victim of the ELA" she pleaded.
"Victim? How can a CIA agent be a victim?"
"I've been close to being killed by the ELA. Not once. Not twice. Three times. The first was a car bomb. The second was a car crash. And the third I was held captive and tortured by them. All this mixed with death threats. Check it up if you don't believe me. Please" she pleaded again. When Luis saw a tear falling down her cheek he discovered that Marcia was actually telling the truth.
"It's okay. I believe you. And I'll help you. Now let's go outside, so you can calm down. And let's get some ice for that ice for that cheek" Luis said. He led her out to the yard, under the looks of the three men that thought the Castilian had said or done something to hurt Marcia.
"What do you think just happened there?" Sanders asked Levine.
"I don't know. Only God and the two of them know" he replied as he felt jealousy seeing Marcia and the diplomat outside.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WHITE HOUSE PRESS ROOM
WASHINGTON D.C.

President Stevenson had called on a special conference without letting them into the real strategy. If a member of the press actually "read between the lines" of his plan, he or she would publish it and that would be unstoppable because if the strategy got to Max's hands and if he caught Stevenson in a lie, he would start killing the hostages. He, accompanied by three staffers, approached the podium as all the attention turned to him.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the press. I would like to make a brief statement regarding the embassy hostage situation in Sydney: 'In light of these recent events, I have made a choice. I know many americans wouldn't think that I'm doing the wrong but... I'm going to comply to the terrorists' demands. So I would like to announce that the United States will not interfere with the issues of other countries. It's time to start a new era where our country wants to re-establish better diplomatic relation, so that this world becomes a better place' Thank you very much" Stevenson said and was quickly escorted out by the Secret Service as one of the staffers tried to control the press, that was asking questions and claiming for answers as to why this sudden decision.
"Ladies and gentlemen. There won't be no questions. You heard the President" he said to the wild bunch of reporters. Outside the press room, Stevenson realized in that moment that he had done something highly stupid that would cost him the Presidency, the country's credibility and some human lives in between.

"Your president is a very weak man" Max said as he looked at the TV. They were showing a recorded tape of the statement. He had a smile on his face with his gun aimed at Robson, he turned to him. Robson was keeping his hand up.
"You got what you wanted. You're gonna let us go, right?" he asked.
"Not yet, Mr Ambassador. I just need one more thing and THEN I'll let you go. Enough talking" Max replied and fixated his view back to the window. Police, press and onlookers were all waiting for Max and the hostages to come out. But that wasn't going to happen anytime soon... unless Max was able to use President Stevenson for one last time so he could plan his escape.

BULLS'EYE MANOR
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

"Either your president is really stupid or he's up to something" Luis said as he and Crawford were in the living room looking at the tape statement.
"I'll take the second option" Marcia said while pouring some glasses of alcohol.
"You want something?" she asked.
"I'd like a beer" he replied, As Marcia was taking out a bottle of beer and a vodka shot, Sullivan comes in.
"You saw this?" Sullivan asked them.
"Yes, Mr Sullivan" the Castilian said.
"Either your president is stupid or he's up to something because I don't understand this. I'm not an intelligence officer"
"Where's Stephen? Have you seen him?"
"He said he went out with Sanders. They didn't say why or where"
"Ok... Marcia, I need to speak with you. In private, please"
"Sure. I'll be right back" she said and followed Brian to the dining room.
"What's going on?" she said coldly, not forgetting the slap she had recieved from him earlier.
"First of all, I'd like to apologize for what happened earlier. I was hysterical and I didn't mean to do it. Will you forgive me?"
"Sure. It doesn't hurt now. It was the moment that bothered me, and I have to admit I behaved like a bitch too" she replied.
"Is this all we have to talk about?"
"No. It's something about the job we have to talk about. There's nothing more to do for today. Marcia, since you're the boss here I have to put you up to speed. I, uh... I spoke to the boys earlier. They went to spy on our guy. Tomorrow Stephen will establish contact with O'Shea, and that's the start of our op. Everything has to go perfect or else this thing will go to hell. There will be someone else doing all the survelliance job. Are you okay with that?"
"What about Luis?"
"I'll take him to a shooting range tomorrow. I want him to learn how to shoot a gun so he can help us. You OK?"
"Yeah. I'll go to rest now" she said and opened the door. Luis was watching TV. He knew Marcia was there because she yawned.
"What was that all about?"
"Tomorrow the real fun begins. Cheers" she said and finished the vodka. A minute later she fell asleep, her head in the Castilian's lap as he caressed her blonde hair. In that moment, Luis told himself he was falling in love with her.

Hi. Today's father's day here, and since I can't have mine here now, I decided to make a sort of open letter to him. Here it is and I'll say it again... I love you daddy!!!. And in the picture there's us. Notice the resemblance??

OPEN LETTER TO MY FATHER
My dear old man:
In a day like today distance was able to separate us to celebrate the most important role of your life with the two biggest joys of your life. But that doesn't stop me from telling the world how much I adore you, dad. You're more than that, you're my friend. You're that someone I can go to whenever I'm sad or when I need help and support. You're there to celebrate my happy times as well. I love having you around at home, taking a walk with you and thinking that through our conversations we can change the world.

I know it's been 3 or 4 years since the day you left and has been really tough for me to close that wound and that wound and you know that I'd like nothing more than having you by my side again. Right now I'm upset cause the only consolation I have today is hearing your voice on the phone and that instead of spending the day with the man who gave me life and so many other things I'll have to spend it in a family lunch with my maternal grandfather. Why couldn't you just show up???

Words are short for thanking you everything you've done for me, and I hope that we have many, many more years to spend together.

THANK YOU FOR EXISTING, DAD. I LOVE YOU MORE THAT I CAN EVER LOVE ANOTHER MAN IN MY LIFE (AND THAT INCLUDES MY MAN. HAHAHAHA)

WITH LOVE

YOUR DAUGHTER

SECOND PART
9
FIFTEEN HOURS LATER...
SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
SYDNEY,AUSTRALIA
Twenty hours after the plane's take off it landed in the beautiful city of Sydney. It was relatively early in the morning but it was already full of people from all over the world. Sanders and Crawford (now as J.J. & Lindsay Scofield) got off the plane. After going through the routine procedures they were now in the baggage claim area. On the plane, Sanders had told her Benson wasn't giving them any kind of support, so they were just going to have to comand this operation on their own. She saw it coming and he saw that as well. They grabbed their bags and headed to the exit to grab a cab. On the way there Marcia told Dave she wanted to go the bathroom. She entered the ladies'room while Sanders waited for her outside. A man in jeans and a baseball cap (Brian Sullivan in a disguise) stares at him. He quietly approaches Sanders as he looked at the stranger suspiciously.
"Excuse me. Do you have a smoke?" Sullivan asked.
"No, I'm sorry" he replied. The stranger looked at him closely.
"I know you. You're J.J. Scofield, right?"
"Who wants to know?" Dave asked. How did he know who he was? Was he talking to the enemy? The information had somehow leaked?. All of a sudden, the stranger/Sullivan pulled out a gun from his pants.
"The person that's gonna kill you if you don't do as I say" he said.
"Who are you?"
"Just walk with me, and don't even try to call for help"
"But what about my wife?"
"We'll take care of that later". Sullivan replied. They started to walk outside, the gun hidden under Sanders' coat. Dave had so many questions in his mind, but knew (for his best) he had to keep quiet. Once they were out in the open range, Sullivan shoved him to a van parked in the corner.
"Don't even try to open the door. It has a child lock. And don't do anything stupid. I'm watching you" Sullivan said, pointing to a tiny camera. He shut the door and went to pick up Crawford.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marcia came out of the bathroom and realized Sanders wasn't waiting for her outside. At first she thought he had gone out to buy something, but time passed by and Dave didn't show up. Sullivan was on the other side, looking at her picture. Once was 100% sure it was her he approached her, willing to help her.
"Can I help you?" he asked her. She jumped out of the scare.
"Yeah. My husband was here waiting for me and now he's gone. Have you seen him?"
"How's he like? What's his name?"
"His name is J.J. Scofield. He has light brown hair, a goatee. He's on his thirties"
"Yeah, yeah, I did. He went that way. Do you want me to go with you?"
"Nah, I'm okay"
"Let me"
"I told you I'm fine"
"Do you want me to pull a gun on you?" Sullivan said pulling a gun from his jeans. The flashback of O'Shea pulling a gun on her head crossed Marcia's mind.
"No" she said firmly. He grabbed her by the arm and led her to where the van was at. Brian opened the door and Marcia saw Dave bound and blindfolded on the back. She felt on his shoes like the first time he saw her.
"Dave. Oh, God" she cried.
"Get in!! Sullivan yelled and pushed her inside. He locked the door and got in the front. The man sitting in the driver's seat took off inmediately. The plan had been perfect, Sullivan said. He would deal with the trouble with the two agents later. They will have to understand that this whole thing was for their safety. To make sure they weren't followed. Sullivan was their ally. He was trustable. The van kept on driving south as it left the airport behind.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UNITED STATES EMBASSY
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
A man named Max hsa his car parked outside the U.S. embassy in Sydney. He is a close friend of O'Shea and in a way, member of the ELA. Max isn't exactly a good man, and his plan is to take the embassy hostage so that the President of the United States listens to his demands. As he's putting the last details of his plan together, his phone rings. It's O'Shea.
"Yes?" Max says. His voive is deep, just like the one of the stanger that stalked Crawford, because he was that man.
"Are we ready?"
"Not Yet"
"What the hell are you waiting for?! We can't lose more time!·"
"These things take time, John. If you want this to be perfect, you have to wait. I promise you it will work"
"Fine. Just because I trust in you. How are you on the Crawford thing?"
"Don't be so anxious, John. One thing at a time. First, we'll make ourselves heard. Then, I'll make sure she suffers until I kill her in front of you"
"Okay. Now make it happen"O'Shea said and hung up. Max took a sip of his coffee and looked around to see if his men were nearby.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Dave, I'm scared" Marcia whispered to Sanders in the back of the van. Neither one of them knew why they had been taken or where they were headed.
"I know. I'm scared too. But remember: Don't tell them anything. No matter what they do to you" he advised. Suddenly, they felt the van pull over. Sullivan got off of it and opened the back. He lifted the blindfold off Marcia's eyes first, then off Dave's.
"Good morning, my dear agents" Sullivan said.
"Two things: Who the hell are you? And if you wanna talk, talk to me. But don't you dare touch her" Dave said with fury. Sullivan hopped into the back and took out a knife to cut the ropes off their wrists. Inmediately, Dave punched Sullivan in the stomach. Marcia got off the van to try to stop them.
"Cut it out!!!" she yelled and hit Sanders in the balls.
"What's wrong with him?" Brian said while getting on his feet.
"No. What's wrong with YOU??? Why did you do this?"
"Can you please shut the hell up and let me explain this whole mess?"
"Go ahead"
"My name's Brian Sullivan. I'm in charge of CIA undercover operations in the region. In other words, I'm your new boss, kids"
"And why should we believe you?"
"Sadly, you don't have an option. How else would I know your other identities?"
"Right... Why did you do this??"
"To make sure you weren't being followed by the enemy. I apologize for any inconveniences caused by my acts"
"We'll talk about later"she said. A minute later, a car approached them,
"What's the car for?" Sanders asked, now sitting in the van.
"It's your new car. You'll be using it from now on. C'mon. Hop in" Brian took out their things from the van and put them in the trunk. Sanders helped Marcia into the car and the driver headed north while the van went the opposite direction.
"Where are we going?" Sanders asked.
"To a place I like to call the Bulls'eye Manor. It's a CIA Safehouse. You'll be staying there" Sullivan replied. He was in the front with a driver and 'the Scofields' were in the back.
"You and I are gonna talk later" Sanders said to Marcia. She didn't reply anything because she knew exactly what that talk would be about.

UNITED STATES EMBASSY
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
Max, alongside 5 men (all of them ELA members) entered the embassy pretending to be part of a manteniance crew. As they were 'doing their jobs' they shared looks constantly. They knew any mistake might blow their plans. Everything would be done in good time. They also looked around, trying to find a moment when the security was off-guard. At the time guards were changing shifts, Max & Co. moved to a lobby. They looked at one another and took out their weapons. The lobby was empty. They fired their weapons to the air. People started screaming. Max entered the room where the ambassador and some of his staffers were.
"Nobody moves!!" Max yelled and locked the door behind him.
"Who the hell are you?!" the ambassador asked.
"Keep quiet and nobody gets hurt!" Max replied. He put the 7 persons in the room to their knees. After that, he closed the curtains and cut all the phone lines and took away all cell phones and pagers. The same happened in other areas of the embassy where Max's people had more hostages.
"What do you want?" one of Ambassador Robson's staffers (named Peter) asked Max,
"We want to send a message to the world today. We want our words to be heard. And like someone told me once: 'People have to die for things to change'" Max replied with his gun pointed to the hostages. The initial phase was done. Time and the will f the American goverment would do the rest.

MADRID, SPAIN
Levine's flight to Sydney had made a stop in Madrid. From that city he would take another flight to Sydney. He had disobeyed Benson's orders, but he has no idea how bad. All that mattered to him was arrive in Sydney as fast as he could to help his buddies . Before boarding the flight, he calls Langley to find out his whereabouts.
"CIA. Connor speaking" Jen replied in the other end.
"Jen, it's Stephen Levine. Get me Desmond McEnroe on the line. Now!"
"Just hang on a minute" she said. A minute later, McEnroe's rich voice sounded on the phone.
"Stephen. What can I do for you?" he asked.
"Can you check if there's any safehouses in Sydney, Australia and see if any of them is having guests?"
"Let me check" Desmond typed some coordinates in his laptop and quickly found the locations.
"Yes. We have 4 properties in the city. Let's hack into the survelliance systems to see if we have guests" he said. He saw a black car entering one of the houses.
"Stephen, are you there?"
"Here I am. Fill me in"
"Only one of them is having guests. It's a place we like to call the Bulls'eye Manor. It's located 10 minutes away from downtown Sydney. I'm sending you the address now" Levine took out his PDA where he recieved the address and a photo of the house.
"Thanks, man. I owe you one. By the way, where is Benson?"
"At the White House. In a meeting with the President about the embassy crisis in Europe and Australia. I'll brief you once he does"
"Thanks. Take care"
"You too. Bye" Desmond said and the call died. Stephen took a quick look at the TV nearby that showed a news report about the embassy crisis in Spain before turning around to take his flight.

THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON D.C.
Benson was in fact waiting to be recieved by the President. He had called him to ask for his advice on what to do, not only because he was the director of the CIA, but because they were old friends. He was in a lobby when a secretary approached him.
"Sir, the President's waiting for you" she said and escorted him to the Oval Office. He knocked on the door and was welcomed by his friend: 'the leader of the free world'.
"Anthony. How are you?" President Patrick J. Stevenson said.
"I'm fine, Patrick. So are Vanessa and the kids" he replied and sat in front of his friend.
"Okay. Leaving our frienship aside: I assume you have heard about the inminent situation in our embassies"
"That's why I'm here" Benson replied.
"You are my head of Intelligence, so fill me in"´
"We have been investigating an European terrorist cell: the European Liberation Army. Their objective is to free Europe and the world from the United States. They express themselves through attacks. Violent attacks. Our best assumption is that they're doing this to express their hate against this country" he explained.
"Now, based on this: What do you think we should do?"
"I wouldn't know how to answer that, sir. You have a lot of advisers who know a lot more than me who can answer that question for you"
"Relax, Anthony. I know. I just want your opinion. Who knows? Maybe that will have a big influence in the couse of action"
"I think we have to do what's best for this country... using any means necessary, Mr. President" Benson said. President Stevenson seemed tempted by the idea.
"I'll think about it and I'll consult it with my staffers. I won't keep you here long because you have to go back to work"
"That's right. Thanks for your time, Mr. President" Benson said. He got up, shook hands with the President and left to his car.

BULLS'EYE MANOR
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
Sullivan was in the studio of the house, doing some research on his protegees. He was doing it to get to know some things about them and to see why Benson had picked them for this task: Suddenly, Sanders appears in the studio with a sandwich on his hands.
"Hey, What are you up to?" he asked.
"I'm doing some research on you two. I didn't know you were infiltrated inside the ELA"
"I was. For 2 1/2 years. Crawford is actually my replacement. She got hired 6 weeks after I left"
"So you know a lot about them?"
"Yeah. You want some?" Dave asked, putting the sandwich in front of Brian's face.
"No, thanks. I was looking at Crawford's file... poor girl. She's been through so much"
"I know. All she wants is to finish with this O'Shea thing soon so that she can move on. If things go well, we could end up married" he said with pride.
"She's cute and deserves to be happy... Listen, tomorrow the three of us are going to have a talk about OPERATION: GREENLEAVE, okay?. Now get some rest, kid"
"Brian?"
"What?"
"Don't call me 'kid'"
"Sure" he replied. Sanders headed upstairs to the master bedroom.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THAT NIGHT....
Dave and Marcia were in bed watching a news story about the embassy thing. Today hadn't been a good day for them, but tonight they were gonna try to make it better. As they were making out, Sullivan appears in their doorway. They stop.
"Excuse me" he said, clearing his throat.
"No. Excuse us" Marcia said.
" I just wanted to let you know I'm going out to meet with some friends, so you're on your own, kids"
"Thanks for the heads-up, Brian" Sanders said.
"And one more thing: Keep it private if you're gonna screw each other" he said and left as 'the Scofields' kept on kissing.

BULLS'EYE MANOR
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
A taxi left Stephen outside the safehouse. It was cold and dark. Once the taxi was gone, he grabbed a piece of wire from a surveliance camera and cut it. He then crossed the fence and made his way throught the house.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Marcia was sleeping upstairs. After refusing to get laid by Sanders she fell asleep, but a noise brought her back to the real world.
"Sanders. Psst, Sanders" she said.
"What the hell do you want? Can't you see I'm sleeping?" was his snappy response.
"Did you hear something? I just heard a noise".
"It could be the wind. Now don't bother, Crawford" he said and fell asleep again. Marcia heard the noise one more time.
"I'm going downstairs to check. Just in case" she replied to no one. Marcia grabbed a gun that was hidden under the bed and headed downstairs.
"Hello? Anybody there?" she asked. She heard the noise again.
"Okay. That's it" she said with her gun raised while heading to a light switch.
"Please, don't kill me!!!!!!!" Stephen yelled when the lights were on.
"Stephen??!!! What the hell are you doing here???!"
"Put the gun down and I'll explain. Nice outfit, by the way" he said, refering to Marcia's camisole. She put the gun in a coffee table.
"Speak"
!I'm here to help you two"
"Did Benson sent you to spy on us?"
"Yeah. But I'm sick of his orders. I can make him help me, so I can help you"
"What the hell is going on?" Sanders said, going downstairs.
"We have company"
"What is Stephen doing here?"
"He's here to 'help us'. Apparently he disobeyed Benson's orders to check on us"
"How did he get in here?"
"With a little help from the inside"
"Can this wait until tomorrow?" Dave said.
"Sure. There's a guest bedroom in the second floor. You can sleep there"
"Okay. And sorry for the scare I gave you" Levine said. They all went back to their rooms and fell asleep.

Okay. Finally I've transcribed what could be considered the prequel to OPERATION: TERROR. It's a one shot story called "When worlds collide". It's quite short but explains basically how Sanders got the ELA job and Stephen and Marcia's first encounter. I expect chapter 9 of the Op sometime next month. Oh, and on 2007... OPERATION: TERROR 2_ EUROPEAN MISSION!!!!
This time I'm working my partner in crime Txito (BTW, visit his blog @ nightwizards.blogspot.com) so we hope having things 2gether soon. Updates to come..,.. So far enjoy this

PREQUEL TO OPERATION: TERROR
"WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE"
2 1/2 YEARS EARLIERLANGLEY, VIRGINIACIA HEADQUATERS
CIA agents Dave Sanders and Stephen Levine are sitting on their desks just like every morning talking about the benefits and
concequences this job have for them since 9/11. These two partners and close friends don't know that today ac chain of events will
unfold causing big changes to their lives.
"Man, now that I think about it... since 9/11 this world has changed" Sanders said.
"Yeah, and our work load has doubled since then. There are days when I simply hate this job" Stephen said, a bit angered. It was clear that
today was one of those 'dull' days.
"But think about this, Stephen: You get paid big cash to keep this country and the world safe. And it's an exciting job as well" Sanders
replied, trying to be more optimistic.
"It's an exciting job when you get to go undercover to the field. Not when you're behind a desk"
"Word of advice: Take a look at the bright side. I like what I do for a living, do you?"
"Yeah, I do. The only thing that's crappy about our job is the person running it: Benson. The guy's a real pain in the ass most of the time"
"I guess there isn't a single person in this agency who doesn't think that" Sanders said and both men laughed.
"Speaking about the job: You've got to admit that there are personal concequences that come with this job..."
"If you work for the CIA, forget about having a life or a family!!"
"But after a time you get used to that. You just have to find the right person" as Stephen was saying this, Benson's secretary Jen shows
up behind them. To establish her presence, she clears her throat.
"Excuse me if I interrupted your 'bonding ritual', gentlemen. Director Benson wants to see Dave"
"Am I getting fired?" Dave asked, half kidding, half truth.
"Very funny, Sanders. Let's go" Jen said. Dave got up and left to Benson's office, questioning his fate at the CIA. The first change was
about to happen.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sanders was staring outside Anthony Benson's office. His boss was probably talking to one of his 'powerful friends'. On the 10 months
Sanders had been working there, he had never got along with Benson and now what did he want with him? That he was going to find out
now. He knocked on his door and Benson made him a gesture to enter the office. Before crossing the door, he cursed 'jackass' under his
breath, refering to Benson, but he didn't hear his subordinate.
"Come on in" Benson said, pointing to the chair facing him. Sanders sat down.
"You wanted to see me?" Dave said, not sure of what to expect.
"Yes. Today's your lucky day, son"
"Am I getting fired?"
"No. Actually, I have an assignment for you" Benson said. Dave's response was halfway between relief, because he wasn't getting fired,
and curiosity because he wondered what this "assignment" would be about.
"Assignment?"
"Have you ever heard of a terrorist group called the European Liberation Army?"
"Yes. What do they have to do with this assignment?"
"You know they're becoming a threat not only to Europe, but to this country"
"Yes, sir... but what's my role here?"
"I need one of my men to infiltrate on the inside. Undefinately. Basically, I need someone who can bring down these bastards. This means
you're going to the field. Are you in?" he asked. A big silence filled the room because Sanders is thinking what to do.
"What about my pay? And what about Agent Levine?" Dave asked. Once the answers to those questions were figured out, he would make
a choice.
"Your pay will be maintained, and you'll recieve it through an intermediary. And as for Stephen... that's Personnel's business. You're still
with me?"
"Yes, sir. I'm in" Dave responded firmly. He and Benson shook hands, and as he was about to leave, Benson stopped him.
"Sanders... I forgot something. We will have to keep you in a hotel for a few days. Routine procedure. You can go home now"
"Thank you, sir" he said and exited.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the bullpen, Stephen was browsing the database for information on a terrorist cell when the fact that Sanders is putting his things
on his bag catches his eye. Stephen approaches him.
"Whoa!! Where do you think you're going?" he asked.
"Home. Benson let me go home earlier"
"Does any of this have to do with that meeting you just had with 'the boss'?"
"Walk with me" Dave said and both men went to the men's room.
"What I'm about to tell you doesn't leave this room: Benson just offered me a 'job' inside the ELA... and I took it. I'm going off tonight, so
this means you're gonna be out of a partner for a while. I'm sorry."
"What?? Whoa! Congratulations, man"
"That's all you have to tell me?"
"Yeah, I mean... I'm gonna miss you and no one will ever replace you, bro" Stephen said, emotionally.
"Don't get too emotional. It's not that big of a deal. And you know that we'll still be friends and that we'll keep in touch" Sanders said and
both men hugged. After that, each one went his way. A cycle had been closed, but another one will open very soon...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SIX WEEKS LATERLANGLEY, VIRGINIACIA HEADQUATERS
Six weeks had passed since the last time Levine saw Sanders. He had learnt to deal with the lack of a partner and he had started to
develop a new way of working...by himself. But today it was the day it'll all change. The day a new cycle will begin. He was heading to
Benson's office when he bumped into a woman, colliding with her.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" he said to her as she was on the floor.
"Watch it, pal" she replied as she tried to get back on her feet.
"I said I was sorry. What's wrong with you?"
"I heard you the first time. I'm not deaf" she snapped back.
"Who are you, anyways?" he asked, trying to remember if he had seen her before around the office.
"You first"
"I'm Stephen Levine, and you are..."
"Marcia Crawford. I'm the newest hiring in this boys club and the replacement for a guy named Dave Sanders" she said. Stephen was
shocked by every word she said.
"So, you are my new partner?"
"Partner??? I'm gonna be working alongside YOU??!! You have to be kidding me"
"I'm not kidding, Marcia. Dave Sanders was my former partner, so that'll make you my new one"
"Well. Not what I expected, but nice to meet you, Stephen"
"The same for you, Marcia" he said and both shook hands.
"I'm quite curious: How old are you? And how did you end up here?"
"I'm 22 going on 23, and I got recruited. I'm sorry I'm being so incomunicative, but I have to go to sign some papers"
"Wait. Can I invite you for a drink after work? My treat. The Hideout at 7 PM, ok?" he offered. Knowing that this would be a great
opportunity to reveal the man behind the asshole, she agreed. She smiled at him before leaving and both went separate ways...
*For the next two years, many changes came. Not only personally, but professionally. Many agents were gone and other newcomers
arrived.Sanders is still infiltrated inside the ELA, and has been travelling with them around the world. He has collected a significant amount of
evidence against this terrorist group. The relationship between Stephen and Marcia improved a lot, thanks to the maturing and time factors. They have worked successfully in a
big number of projects... together. The possibility of a romance was open for both until 3 months ago, when Marcia started to date
somebody. She's really happy now.Everybody hopes what lies ahead is as good as it is right now, but soon enough, it'll all go to hell...*
THE END.

Hi people. A while ago I was trying something in yahoo: AVATARS, so I decided to create through an avatar of how I imagined our CIA heroine would look like. I apologize in advance about the small resolution of the pics, and please drop a comment. Enjoy

Nicole.

Ps: I apologize for the lack of updates regarding the story. I haven't been able to write a thing.!
